Welcome to Local Foods!
We believe there is a wealth of local food available from farms right here in San Diego County, and our desire is to provide an opportunity for our guests to find out where they can go, where the Farmers' Markets and Farm Stands are, so we all can get healthy, tasty, and fresh food!
Our aim is, through an easy to use mapping interface, to help you find the nearest or most interesting place to get fresh food, avoiding the industrially farmed food you'd find at the supermarket, and maybe we can help you learn about our local farms and what they produce.
As cartographers and geographers, we would like to provide adequate, attractive, and efficient interactive maps, using our skills, to enlighten residents and guests of San Diego County and to help people lessen their impact on the planet through responsible and healthy consumption.
