- Step-By-Step Instructions
- Enter a few words to accurately describe your chosen place and click the "Search for Images" button.
- A separate window will pop up with the resulting list of image thumbnails (reduced-size pics) from Google Images.
- Microsoft Internet Explorer Users: If the pop-up window was blocked, try holding down the Ctrl button while clicking on the button
- From the resulting list, select an image by clicking on it (or perform another search)
- The browser will navigate to the source Website of the image and will display the thumbnail image at the top.
- Click on the Google link on the top with the words, See full-size image.
- The image will be displayed by itself and the Web address field of your browser will show the URL (the Web address) of the image.
- Don't worry about the size of the image. The Collaborative Map system will automatically reduce the size of the image unless its HUGE!
- If you are satisfied with this image, copy down the full Web address.
- If the Web address of the image is too long, it might be easier to just keep the window with the image URL open until you need it in STEP 6. You can then just copy and paste it where it's required!
- After choosing an image and copying down its Web URL (or keeping the image window open), go to STEP 5: SEARCH FOR A WEBSITE RELATED TO MY CHOSEN PLACE
