Our Mission To provide useful information about the location and deals during Happy hour time periods throughout the City of San Diego community planning areas.
Background This website was created to fulfill the need to determine Happy hour times, deals, and locations throughout the San Diego Area. Though there are some websites that provide this information, none do so from a map perspective. This map perspective allows viewers to determine where the happy hours are located within the city of San Diego or with respect to other establishments, without having to know the name of the area the establishment is located or the name of the establishment itself. This should make it easier and more efficient for both San Diegans and visitors to the San Diego area find great deals during Happy hour time periods every day of the week. Further, the ability to visualize the nearest bus/trolley route, with a link to time tables and maps for the route, make it possible to plan a full day of enjoying establishment happy hours without having to worry about driving. Data Sources All spatial data were obtained from SANDAG (community boundaries, city boundaries, transportation routes), processed in ArcGIS 9.3, and were cross referenced with PDF maps from sdcommute.com in order to check for accuracy. |
